Subject to availability (If the booking is not confirmed we will process the refund)
Skydive Dubai Palm dropzone will be closed every Wednesday for the month of July and August
Tandem skydiving reservations for both dropzones are generally available to book one to three months in advance. This is to avoid any unforeseen schedule changes, ensure aircraft availability, and to avoid overbooking during periods of aircraft maintenance.
You should plan to spend between 3 to 4 hours from the time you check-in to when you complete your skydive.
Our teams at both our locations work hard to get you in the air as soon as they can. Weather conditions on the ground and/or at opening altitude, or other factors, may result in delays, so please ensure you have a flexible schedule on the day of your skydive. We cannot guarantee you will be finished at a particular time.
If our skydiving operations are on standby, you are more than welcome to reschedule for another day.
As with any adventure sport, skydiving has an element of risk. However, we minimize this risk by using state-of-the-art training and equipment. Our tandem requirements also help us maintain our safety procedures. All Skydive Dubai equipment is equipped with an automatic activation device (AAD), which will automatically deploy the parachute in the unlikely event that your instructor is unable to do so. All of our skydiving tandem instructors have undergone rigorous selection, training, and certification, and all parachutes are maintained under the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rigger supervision. Our impressive fleet of aircraft is maintained to the very highest standards. Your safety really is our primary concern.
Weather can affect skydiving. In the UAE we are lucky as we don’t tend to see too much cloud cover, but poor visibility, precipitation, or winds (especially at higher altitudes) can sometimes delay proceedings. If this is the case, our safety and training officer or other qualified personnel will put the operation on a ‘standby’. This doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t get to skydive. Usually, it just means you may have to wait a bit longer to do so. If poor conditions persist, we may have to cancel operations for the day. If we cancel you can reschedule to the next available date or apply for a refund.
Before your skydive, you will receive a full tandem briefing, and your camera flyer will interview you. You will be escorted to the boarding area, where you will receive a pre-boarding safety check, and you will get your pictures taken. You, your instructor and your videographer will then board the aircraft.
The time mentioned on your reservation confirmation is the time you need to arrive at our location. It is not the time of your skydive. You should plan to spend about three to four hours at the dropzone, as weather and other factors may play a part.
How fast will I fall?
The average human body falls at approximately 120 miles per hour, although this can increase or decrease based on body size and position.
A minimum degree of fitness is required to complete a tandem skydive, and to ensure a safe landing for you and your instructor. Your Body Mass Index (BMI) is an indicator of this.
Skydive Dubai requires each tandem customer to meet both, the weight and BMI requirements listed below. These are the equipment manufacturers’ requirements, and we cannot make exceptions for safety reasons.
